people were eating dead bodies

Yes these people were eating dead bodies and still don't know so to know how this happened  read the below information

This is a seventeenth-century story. When Roger Williams began to promote religious freedom, he was expelled and sentenced to live on Rhode Island. S. Williams died in 1683. His coffin was built next to his wife's. Several years passed after that. The people there realized the importance of Williams' work. They decided to build a huge coffin and statue for Williams.

But when they opened their coffin they didn't find even a micro part of the Williams couple not found, not their skeleton nor their body nothing found. After a lot of research, they come to know apple trees have eaten all bodies Especially, the apples of that tree were famous as very tasty. The roots of that tree were spread far and wide. Surprisingly, it was like a human body. The tree that absorbed and ate the bodies in the coffin was a great wonder at the time. The Rhode Island Historical Society has preserved the roots of that tree. The nature of eating dead bodies of that monstrous tree was published by the newspapers all over the world.

It is not surprising that those who had tasted the fruits of that tree with interest felt that Williams and his wife in their stomachs and other dead bodies too.
